Mr. Gray!
I am writing from chilly Wisconsin to tell you that you have just inspired a lesson for my 5th graders. We looked at your painted wall sculptures for inspiration in a lesson on using geometric and free-form shapes. 5th graders study the art of the United States and they loved that you are still alive-kids crack me up- but in art we sometimes just talk about art history and old dead guys. Thank you for your inspiration.
A little about our art class. We are in Black River Falls, Wisconsin a small community in the central part of the state. I teach k-5 art at three different schools around 700 students a week. You can look us up on my blogjendahl.weebly.com.
Attached are some of our creations!
Hi Jennifer!
Thank you for your email and photos of the artworks. I love them! It makes my day when teachers send me these. I am going to add them to my website, on my students work page, when I get a chance.
I am also happy to still be alive! I have lots more art to create!
