Almost every year I have a student teacher and this past year I was lucky to have Miss Julia. Her and I go way back because I was also her art teacher a long time ago....like the 1990's! Part of my being a cooperating teacher is being a lifelong resource for them. When my student teachers get a "big girl job" I usually try to help them ease into their new classroom and job. Yesterday I was honored to help Julia in her classroom. I have noticed that when you are new you have so many things running through you head you have no idea how you will ever organize a room too. I love to help them. I was bummed I forgot my label maker but the supplies in Julia's room are ready for students. Julia's mom is also and art teacher and a dear friend of mine. She was also along for the wild ride of cleaning and organizing! I know Julia will be an amazing art teacher, I am so very proud of you!

This is from maybe 1998-99 and Julia is the little sweetie on the bottom left. We were playing a group game of Claude Monet trivia.
