I peaked their interest with a How It's Made video on bikes. From there I had real bikes that they could use as observational drawings. We used good old fashioned crayons for this one.

I peaked their interest with a How It's Made video on bikes. From there I had real bikes that they could use as observational drawings. We used good old fashioned crayons for this one. My husband Mike and I celebrated Halloween this year as the painting American Gothic. We even won 3rd place! The real American Gothic is by artist Grant Wood and he was from Iowa! It is an art museum in Chicago.
